The Kollemcode Sree Bhadrakali Temple in Kanyakumari District is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Bhadrakali, a fierce and protective form of Shakti. This temple is unique in having two primary deities: Bhadrakali (Bhadra) and Rudhra (Rudra), who are represented as sisters. These dual deities symbolize the various aspects of feminine power, with Bhadra often embodying protective and nurturing qualities, while Rudra represents a fiercer, more destructive force to vanquish evil.

Rudhra is worshiped for her fierce and protective aspects. She embodies the qualities of destruction and renewal, similar to the cosmic functions associated with Lord Shiva. The worship of Rudhra, alongside Bhadrakali, emphasizes the dual nature of the divine feminine as both nurturing and fiercely protective.
The temple follows traditional tantric practices for the worship of both Bhadrakali and Rudhra. Special offerings and rituals are conducted during significant festivals, such as the Thookkam and Kaliyoottu festivals, which celebrate the power and grace of these deities.
The son of God Shiva and Parvathi, Sree Ganapathi is the remover of obstacles, the patron of the arts, and the god of wisdom, prosperity, and good luck. He is also known as Vighneshwara, which means "lord of removing obstacles". In any ritual he is worshipped first. Sree Ganapathi is worshipped and pleased before starting any venture to overcome all the hindrances that may face in due course of its implementation.

Devotees worship to please the Naga Devathas for fertility, children’s health and overall prosperity of the family by removing nagadosham, kala sarpa dosham, rahu dosham and kethu dosham. Pregnant ladies worship to have a pleasant delivery and health of their unborn child.
The main vazhipadu is Ayillya pooja on every Ayillyam day of Malayalam month. Ayillya pooja in the month of Kanni is believed to be very auspicious for Naga Devatas.
